2016 is right around the corner and it is time for New Years Resolutions. We all know the gyms in the first week will be packed. We know that people will say I’m going to change. I am going to start a new diet, workout, among other things. Facebook will have statues of a renewed and new mindset. Right… this is good and all but why do people wait until January 1st to change. Why can’t you change for good on any day or month or rather year? This mentality has to stop among people young or old. It is annoying and is a set up for failure. Take time to change in the present. For tomorrow is not promised.

Reality TV is nothing new in this present time. What I always wonder is the unscripted is scripted? From watching these shows I believe there is no written scripts but there is a definite push to create different situations for the members of the cast. From the Real World on MTV to Love and Hip Hop it seems people like to be entertained by people’s lives. Positive reality television is tossed aside more for the ratchet entertainment. Is that a good or bad thing? Entertainment is just entertainment or is it a reflection of our society? The stereotypes these shows perpetuate are mind blowing. Next time you watch this type of programming besides grabbing your popcorn to die of laughter try to see the subliminal message hidden in these shows. Food for thought

I’m now getting into podcasts. One in particular sparked my interest. The Cosmo Happy Hour by Cosmopolitan Magazine is very interesting. The topic of the podcast that I listened to was about “Ghosting”. What is ghosting? Here is an easy definition :to stop contacting someone who you had some romantic interest in you before. Basically you meet someone you guys text or call each other, then out of nowhere the communication is silenced by one person. You can keep on texting, calling, or using social media messaging but the individual does not respond. This actually happened to me and I was hurt just a little bit. Lol. I actually see the person on social media living their life. What more can I say or what can I do? The person just disappeared. Maybe this has happened to you ladies or gentlemen. It is rather annoying. The podcast spoke to the core of this issue. Has anyone been ghosted? Feel free to comment. I want to hear your horror stories.
