A Dope Quick Read

Who hasn’t watched a Breakfast Club interview on YouTube? tha God. Each personality brings a flavor to this morning radio show. Charlamagne tha God is one personality in particular that brings a lot of controversies and a unique voice to the radio. This voice is expressed more in his memoir/motivational guide Black Privilege. This book was a quick read but I got a lot from it. Let me share three things that I learned and want to share:
The Breakfast Club interviews the biggest influencers and entertainers in the hip hop culture/entertainment world. The Breakfast Club consists of three radio personalities: DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne

·      Stay focused. We get distracted and don’t reach our goals and wonder what happened. Success takes hard work and sacrifice. Common sense to say the least but hearing it from a character like Charlamagne tha God puts it into perspective and makes you think.
·      Grow and Evolve. If you are the same person you were in high school then you are doing things wrong. Does it mean that your personality you were born with changes no you will always be you but as you grow older your perspective has to change and evolve. Growth and change is important
·      Kindness is everything. Treat people how you want to be treated. You may end up crossing paths with them later on in life. Karma is real.

Besides gaining these valuable lessons I laughed at Charlamagne’s different childhood memories along with his stories about his youth. If you want an unconventional way to motivate yourself and a good laugh go read Black Privilege.
